Lisa Simeone

Lisa Simeone has worked in radio and TV since 1983, as an announcer and producer of cultural, news, and public affairs programs. In addition to Soundprint, she also hosts the Chicago Symphony Orchestra series and NPR World of Opera. She has produced three documentaries for Soundprint: "Bachelor Party"; "Strippers: Thinly Veiled"; and "Money in the Family." Simeone began her career at WBJC in Baltimore and WETA in Washington, D.C. Then it was back to Baltimore for ten years at WJHU, where she developed a loyal following for her unique mix of music and news programming--classical, folk, and jazz, along with provocative interviews on a wide variety of subjects. When she's not doing radio, Simeone writes articles for Style Magazine and The Urbanite, as well as book reviews and op-eds for the Baltimore Sun. Lisa Simeone was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. In 1980 she earned a B.A. in Liberal Arts from St. John's College in Annapolis, Maryland. In 1997, she earned an M.A. from the Writing Seminars at The Johns Hopkins University.
